What was the inspiration?

Essence of Education was conceived after Sravanth's visit to the village of Kamsalipalam in India. While there, he noticed the complete lack of importance placed on educating the children of the village, and knew something needed to be done. After doing research on the effects of poverty on the mental and physical health of adolescents, Sravanth discovered that supplementing the education of these students would be the best way to help them escape the cycle of poverty. From here, Essence of Education was born. This program was conceived with two main goals: promoting education and helping those in need. Sravanth hopes to make a global impact with Essence of Education, and will do so one student at a time.

This project works with local volunteers, community leaders, students, and area youth with critically important after-school reinforcement programs that help children to be competitive in their schools and in the workplace.

Helping those in need

Our target students are those living in poverty with families that don't have much household income. All revenue generated from the program goes towards other charitable organizations helping under-privileged students in pursuing their educational goals.
